We are always doing something: often too much! With a plethora of activities to choose from you will never get bored.
Our students participate in various clubs led by parent and student volunteers.
Core Co-Op Classes
Lack confidence in helping your child with Algebra? No problem! Not sure about the High School Sciences, Labs and required History credits?
That's why we have Core Co-Op classes. Many parents feel daunted when it comes to homeschooling because they haven't had to use these skills in a long time and are now given the task of guiding their student in this information that they are suppose to master. Core Co-Op is a unique and exciting opportunity for SCHEF's home schooled students to be able to take Middle to High School level classes taught one day each week by a willing parent and/or instructor. Success is driven by small classes, excellent curriculum, and involved parents that make the Co-Op a safe haven to learn and grow. Typical classes are Writing, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Physical Science, Foreign Language, Chemistry, Geography, and more. We also have Elementary School level classes based on interest and need. Core Co-Op classes run on a typical school academic schedule from August to May with breaks for Holidays.
Homeschooling does NOT just take place at HOME: we love to take field trips! Perfect excuse to get outside and have fun with our friends.
PE is led by instructors and student volunteers once a week. Basic exercises are introduced in a fun environment followed by sports instruction and practice.
From paint ball to prom we make sure our students have opportunities to have fun! Our social calendar includes mom's night out, family picnics, pool parties and more.
